Video Worksheet--BROKE: A 30 for
30 ESPN Special
Number two:
The former football player Andre Rison stated that
the reason why most professional athletes are becoming broke shortly after
retirement is because they have a mentality of, "How much is that one?
Doesn't matter. Get it". This quote exemplifies the behavior that forces a
thriving athlete to declare bankruptcy. Not only are athletes like Andre Rison
spending outside of their means but they are making bad business decisions such
as buying fast food places or car washes. Those partnerships ended up empty and
the individual that invested in it becomes financially messed up.
I agree with your answer. If he, along with the majority of athletes nowadays got out of that ignorant mindset of buying all of these expensive items, most of them wouldn't be relying on that next paycheck to come.

DeleteI think what you are saying is totally true. It's funny that, once they are rich, some athletes think they're financially invincible. If they would just think things through, they wouldn't invest in dumb projects such as a carwash. I'm diggin' the quote by the way! ~ Cole Vincent
